While I am not a great
fan of multi storey car parks they are a necessary evil. The station certainly
needed some more parking facilities especially after the new station and road
layout took up a lot of space.
However, why didn’t
someone think to change the ticket machines?
They are
extraordinarily slow and you have to pay by credit card. Often they lose the
credit card signal and you have to go into the station to get a ticket, I once
missed my train due to this wallyness.
Also at the weekend,
the fee is only £2 for the day (thanks for that it is appreciated) but to pay
by card takes so long. To put a couple of coins into the machine would be the
work of a moment.
Any chance of changing
these machines to make the paying of fees as efficient as the new car park?
