A real disappointment for me is that the toilets at Wokingham station which is about three years old never seem to be open. In the morning so I see people very frustratingly going down the corridor by the toilets and finding them locked. Then in the evening when I want to use the facilities I don't even bother checking whether they're open or not because invariably they are locked and I head up to Waitrose to use the toilets there.
The old station dilapidated as it was the toilets always seem to be available for passengers but now south-west trains and network rail between them cannot seem to organise recent facilities for their passengers. Not quite sure what the excuses are this time drug users vandalism or whatever but the vast majority of people are decent people who just want to use the toilets for what they are intended for.
And as ever we are let down .
When you do get to see the inside of the toilets you can see that they are rundown are poor design and not fit for purpose.
Railways overseas have good facilities at the stations why can't we have them at Wokingham station?
